Philip Smith is the head of digital content at Haymarket Brand Media, which publishes Brandrepublic.com, Campaign, Marketing, Media Week, PR Week, Marketing Direct, Revolution and Eye.
Joining Brand Republic in October 2006, Smith oversaw the editorial relaunch of the site, which, for the first time, incorporated individual sites for key magazine titles including Campaign, Marketing, Media Week and Revolution - as well as additional content and key community features, from forums to one of the largest networks of specialist b2b bloggers in the UK.
Prior to his move to BR, Smith edited Media Week for 18 months, following its acquisition by Haymarket and he oversaw the integration of its team and print and online operations into the company.
During his time at Media Week, Smith was the launch editor and presenter of mediaweek.tv - a series of online video interviews with the great and the good of the media world.
Before Media Week, he edited Haymarket's digital marketing magazine Revolution for four years, establishing it, after the troubles of the dotcom bust, as the only UK title dedicated to online marketing and media.
He joined Haymarket and Revolution in 1999 after stints working for Reed Business Information (Estates Gazette and Estates Gazette Interactive) and Emap.
Recently, Smith successfully completed the PPA's diploma in Publishing course.
He is a fellow of the RSA.

Brand Republic produces exclusive content from its own award-winning editorial team, as well as a series of exclusive content, research and information partners. This means Brand Republic can give them the information they need to know, about the sectors of the industry they work in, when they want and in the most appropriate format. It also means advertisers, through Brand Republic, have access to a large, and expanding, volume of active users, and can target them with appropriate messages, at the right time and in the right place.

More than 40 stories a day are produced across all these different sectors, and BR has built an extensive archive of more than 300,000 news stories in the five years since it launched.
Helping employers, agencies and job seekers is a big part of Brand Republic's success story and with more than 2,500 jobs a week on the site chances are that marcomms professionals will find their next new job right here.
